■Thought and creation
Yohiyami is a sweat-absorbing insulation for stagnation. It is designed so that even if you wear it immediately after chinogging when the sweat has not settled down, the highly breathable lining and moisture-absorbent wool filling will not cause internal condensation or wet residues. In comparison, most insulations worn during periods of stagnation use highly insulating materials for both the outer and inner lining in order to block wind and prevent the cotton filling from blowing out. This causes a problem when worn when sweating, as the sweat that is not released to the outside condenses on the skin. Insulation is worn to keep the body cool, but it is actually a major contradiction. This is the main difference between Yohiyami and general insulation. Two layers of 40 g/m2 insulation with different properties are used to keep you warm through the coldest nights.

■■Centrally
Yohiyami uses highly breathable PERTEX QUANTUM AIR for the lining, so that even if you wear it while sweating, the sweat is efficiently transferred to the wool filling, which has excellent moisture absorption properties, without condensation on the lining. The sweat absorbed by the wadding is then released from the outer fabric as water vapour. The water-repellent lining keeps the garment dry and dry even when perspiration permeates through it.

The uniquely atmospheric Yohiyami can be combined with the uniquely designed Agulhas skirt to create an earthy style. It is no exaggeration to say that this is the perfect winter sinoging outfit. In addition, in order to maximise the feeling of the function of the yohiyami, i.e. not to hold sweat in, the key is not to layer a low-breathable (i.e. sweat-permeable) garment between the underwear and the yohiyami, but to layer a warm, highly breathable garment such as wool or fleece.

■ Large capacity pockets to keep warm.
Smartphones, mobile batteries, spare batteries, lighters, wet gloves, socks, insoles, etc., which will not work properly in cold temperature conditions and will freeze if left outside, should be kept warm in a large pocket with a through hole on either side. This is very important to survive the cold night and to ensure you are in good synogging condition the next day.

■ Material features.
The PERTEX QUATUM used for the outer fabric is a 15dn x 15dn ripstop nylon, windproof, water-repellent and quick-drying, and the reverse side of the fabric is treated to prevent the padding from blowing out. It is light and soft in texture, yet strong enough to be used as outerwear.

The PERTEX QUATUM AIR lining is a 20dn x 20dn mini-ripstop nylon with a high breathability of 25.5cm3 /cm2 /s (approximately 25 times higher than a standard windbreaker). This effectively transfers water vapour from perspiration to the cotton. This is an indispensable material for creating an environment where there is no steaminess and no residual wetness, even when worn in sweaty conditions. It also has excellent water repellency, so even if sweat permeates through it, it will not get soaked through. It has a very light and soft texture, so you can feel the warmth and softness of the cotton filling more.

The German-made LAVALAN used for the skin side of the cotton filling is a sheet of wool cotton made by thermal bonding (point bonding by heat) of European virgin wool grown in a stress-free environment with corn-derived polylactic acid, which has excellent bulkiness and moisture control properties (moisture absorption and desorption). It can be used safely in humid environments. The intertwining of the wool fibres forms countless layers of small air pockets, in which the body's heat is stored, providing excellent heat retention.

Wool is both water-repellent and moisture-absorbent. The scaly cuticle covering the outside of the wool fibre is water-repellent. On the other hand, the very small holes inside the wool fibres are hygroscopic and can absorb up to 36% of the wool's own weight of water vapour when dry. This contradictory function makes it less susceptible to moisture in humid environments and allows wool to retain its natural heat-retaining properties.

LAVALAN is exactly the right material for this yohiyami.

■Packing tips
Yohiyami should be packed in the gaps in the backpack at the end of the packing process. This way it can be packed aesthetically. For this reason, Yohiyami does not come with a storage bag.
