Since 2018, a new addition has been made to the Sinogichabdai, which is well-known to all sinologists.
The wood of the traditional Sinogi chabudai is coniferous cypress, whereas this is hardwood zelkova.
The wood was actually used for chabutai in the Showa period.
The zelkova tree is used as a roadside tree, etc., and is probably familiar to everyone as it changes colour beautifully in autumn.
If you want to enjoy the beauty of such zelkova wood, it is probably the itame.
Combining beauty and strength like a drifting cloud, this sinogichabdai is a work of craftsmanship that boldly leaves the knots intact.
Please enjoy the texture and massiveness of the very hard zelkova wood, which resonates with a high cankle sound.

Shinogi Chabudai revived the chabudai, which was popular nationwide through the early Showa period.
The warm touch of natural wood and the shape of the rounded tops not only add a sense of comfort to your sinogging space, but will also become more and more attached as they change to a deeper colour the more you use them.
The unpainted finish leaves room for the fun of customising it by waxing it to prevent staining or painting it in a colour of your choice.
For storage, the top and legs are precisely stacked on top of each other, so that they can be easily slipped into storage bags without creating wasted space.
