High-volume warmth-retaining overjacket for extreme polar conditions such as the 8000m peaks of the Himalayas. It uses a GORE-TEX WINDSTOPPER RipStop Insulated Shell (2-layer) with a shaped baffle construction that eliminates cold spots that cause heat release, and 900-fill power clean down photoelectron PRO is enclosed as padding material. It combines high warmth retention and excellent wind resistance for activities at low temperatures where strong winds can deprive the wearer of body heat. Shoulders and lower elbows, which are prone to abrasion, are reinforced with high-strength fabric. The pocket layout and operability are designed with the assumption that gloves and harnesses are worn, improving ease of movement and usability. This is the flagship model of THE NORTH FACE's polar wear that continues to support Yuichiro Miura's challenges.
