Our pursuit of functionality in the mountains resulted in a standard design.
The material used is Yama to Michi's original 100% merino wool, which is medium-weight and has strength comparable to that of synthetic fiber blends, developed in Oshu, a woolen textile production area in Japan. It has a zipper that opens wide to the chest for increased ventilation and a kangaroo pocket to keep the abdomen warm.
This hoodie for mountain travelers has natural temperature and moisture regulating properties and powerful deodorizing properties that keep you comfortable even in situations where you cannot change clothes for days.

■About the hydrophilic finish of 100% Merino
While most Merino wool fabrics are treated with a water-repellent finish during the manufacturing process, 100% Merino is treated with a hydrophilic finish to wick away sweat more quickly.
However, the wax applied to the yarn during the production process to increase knitting efficiency does not completely dissolve during washing in the processing stage and remains behind, so if the fabric is not washed, the hydrophilic treatment may not work and the fabric may repel water.
Even if the hydrophilic finish is not fully functional when you first purchase the product, washing it at home 2-3 times will remove any residual wax and the product will become able to absorb water quickly.
■About using a dryer
You can use the dryer on a low temperature setting (up to 60°C). Do not use it too often as it may cause the fabric to fluff and shed. If the fabric is folded or wrinkled and the moisture is removed, the wrinkles will become fixed when the garment cools, so do not use a net, but dry it alone or with a generous capacity. Remove the item promptly after drying.
■Product care
Merino wool has excellent odor wicking properties so it doesn't need to be washed frequently.
- Yama to Michi's 100% merino wool is a fabric that does not shrink easily, so it can be washed on a washing machine's "delicates" cycle, which is used for delicate clothing with a weak water flow.
-Since it is easily eaten by insects, please take measures against insects such as using insect repellent or storing it in an airtight bag.
- Because the fibers are short, pilling and fluffing may occur, but as you wash the fabric, the fluff will fall off to a certain extent and pilling will become less likely to occur.
