A mesh hoodie that overcomes the weaknesses of wool
DF Mesh Merino is a base layer series made from Yama to Michi's original fabric that overcomes the drawbacks of conventional 100% merino wool, such as slow drying, stickiness when wet, and heat retention.
The double-layer (DF = Double Face) mesh structure with a hydrophobic finish that repels water from the skin and a hydrophilic finish that adsorbs water to the surface reduces the discomfort of sweat and can be used actively not only for hiking but also for high-intensity activities such as trail running and fastpacking.
While it has the natural benefits of wool, such as the comfortable feel and deodorizing and moisture-regulating properties, its mesh structure makes it highly breathable and less likely to trap heat.It can also be worn with a shell to keep you warm, and even if you sweat, the point contact reduces discomfort, and it dries faster than conventional wool.
In order to take advantage of the highly elastic fabric's properties, which allow it to move smoothly even during intense movements, we have adopted a slim fit pattern that keeps sweat from escaping from the skin.
