Yamatomichi Merino Coach Jacket

■Quote from manufacturer's description
For the mountains, for daily life, and for bonfires
This 100% merino wool coach jacket was developed as a spinoff of the trail shirt.

The material used is a 208g/m2 medium-weight fabric woven by a long-established Italian manufacturer from New Zealand wool, which is slightly thinner than the Merino 5-Pocket Pants.

Merino wool is fire resistant, has powerful natural deodorizing properties, and has temperature and moisture regulating properties that allow the clothing to breathe, making it excellent for both active wear and campfire wear.
These are clothes that you'll want to wear all the time, allowing you to enjoy comfortable activities from the mountains to your everyday life.

-The collar is a standard design.
- There is a loop on the back of the neck so that it can be hung on a hook, etc.
- The snap button allows for quick opening and closing even while on the move.
- Pivot sleeves are used with armholes that are wider towards the armpits to avoid restricting arm movement.
- The elastic at the cuffs makes it easier to roll up.
- The large, easy-to-use pockets have snap buttons to prevent items from falling out.
- The hem can be tightened with a drawstring.
-The back of the jacket is longer so that it doesn't ride up even when you're carrying a backpack.

■Product care
Merino wool has excellent odor wicking properties so it doesn't need to be washed as often.
However, there are some disadvantages, such as the fact that it is prone to holes caused by insects, so it is important to wash and store it properly.
Please read each precaution carefully and use them to care for your product at home.

■ Recommended washing method
1. Please close all zippered items before putting them in the washing machine to prevent hardware from damaging the fabric.
2. Use a mild detergent for delicate fabrics.
Do not use fabric softeners as some types can coat the fibers and prevent them from performing their functions, and do not use bleach as these can cause discoloration and fading.
3. To prevent detergent stains or uneven washing, do not pour detergent directly onto the product. Instead, add detergent through the detergent inlet or after water has filled the washing tub.
Due to the characteristics of wool, it may have a distinctive odor when damp, so please avoid soaking it in water.
4. We recommend washing the product alone or in a laundry bag to prevent deformation or pilling due to tangling with other laundry, and to avoid damaging the product or other clothing.

■ Spot washing before washing machine
For areas such as shirt collars where sweat and sebum stains are a concern, wash the area in advance or apply a pre-treatment (point) detergent and allow it to soak in.
For stubborn stains or yellowing that do not come off even after spot cleaning or using pre-treatment detergent, please use the stain removal service offered by a dry cleaner.

1. For areas such as shirt collars that are particularly prone to sweat and sebum stains, fill a bucket or bathtub with lukewarm water (about 40°C), add an appropriate amount of neutral detergent and stir while lathering. Then immerse the product in the detergent solution and wash the area.
If you rub the wool too hard, it will shrink and harden, so instead of rubbing it, press it between your fingers to push out the dirt.
2. If you have pre-treatment (spot) detergent, apply it directly to the stained areas and let it soak in before putting them in the washing machine.

■ Tips on how to dry
1. If drying naturally, remove wrinkles and reshape the garment, then hang it to dry in a well-ventilated, shady area.
2. The dryer can be used on the low temperature cycle (maximum 60°C).
To avoid damaging the garment or other clothing and to ensure thorough drying, please use the dryer alone.
However, using a dryer can cause pilling and put a strain on the fabric, so we recommend air drying.

■Storage method
Merino wool is an animal fiber and is prone to attracting insects, so be sure to take measures to prevent insects from getting into it when storing it.
We recommend taking proper precautions especially when storing items for long periods of time, such as when changing clothes.

1. If stored in an airtight bag, no insect repellent is necessary.
Be sure to remove all the air to prevent insects from entering and to keep the container from coming into contact with outside air.
2. If you use a clothing case, choose one with a lid that can be closed to prevent the insect-repellent gas used in the mothballs from escaping. Do not pack the case too tightly, but leave enough space inside to contain the mothballs.
