A thermal wear vest that combines excellent breathability and heat retention.
This is active insulation (warmth-retaining clothing) that can be worn continuously during late autumn, when snow remains, and when hiking in low mountains in winter.
The insulation material used is the lightweight, highly breathable Polartec Alpha Direct, weighing 85g/m2. It has excellent heat retention while allowing body heat to escape when you're on the move, and keeps you warm when you're at a standstill, allowing you to continue moving around comfortably in the mountains in winter.
Furthermore, if you remove the sleeves, it becomes a vest and can handle more strenuous activities. At the same time, it keeps the core of the body, such as the abdomen, warm.
*Starting with the 2021 model, the outer material has been changed to a proprietary material made of new Pertex Quantum Air with a titanium coating, making it lighter and more abrasion-resistant than before, and more than twice as breathable while also providing better heat retention.

■Product care
The titanium coating on the underside of the fabric will wear off due to repeated friction from washing, etc., but with proper care, the coating will last longer.
The titanium particles that end up in sewer systems are in extremely small quantities and are not considered to have any impact on the environment.
- If using a washing machine, set it to a gentle cycle suitable for delicate clothing as indicated on the washing instructions, and wash in a laundry net.
- In rare cases, certain types of detergent may react chemically with metal and cause discoloration. Therefore, do not use detergents containing bleach or enzymes. Instead, use a neutral detergent to wash the product.
- Avoid soaking for long periods of time as the detergent ingredients may cause the titanium to peel off.
- After washing, do not wring out too tightly and hang dry in the shade.
- Do not iron or dry clean.
- If the lining is noticeably shedding when you purchase the item, please wash it once.
