Ultra-lightweight mittens made from scraps
The UL Rain Hoody and UL All-weather Hoody use a generous amount of fabric to minimize the number of seams, which resulted in large scraps.
We wondered what we could do with the scraps that were too good to throw away, and this is how UL Mittens was born. It is ultra-lightweight at just 20g (Pertex Shield), so you can carry it with you without hesitation even in situations where you are unsure whether to bring gloves. Since there are no seams at the sewn areas, the gloves are not completely waterproof, but they are made of a highly waterproof and windproof material, making them useful as both rain mittens and wind gloves. This time, it is produced from scraps of the 2020 UL Rain Hoody, and given this production background, we have made the price as affordable as possible.
Another attractive feature is the wide range of colors inherited from the UL Rain Hoody. Pertex Shield is a hydrophilic, non-porous polyurethane (PU) membrane. "Hydrophilic" means that water can easily penetrate it, and "non-porous membrane" means that the membrane has no holes (as opposed to the porous Pertex Shield Pro). These microscopic holes do not allow moisture to pass through but are large enough to allow steam to pass through, and Pertex Shield Pro allows steam inside the clothing to escape directly through these holes, making it extremely breathable. ■Material

- Lining: 7d tricot
Water repellency: C6 DWR Weight: 22g ■Product care
- Wash using a gentle water flow cycle with water temperature below 30°C.
・Please use detergent specifically for rainwear or a neutral detergent that does not contain bleach, fabric softener or fluorescent brighteners.
・For heavy stains, apply a diluted detergent and wash the area with a soft sponge. Do not rub the seams on the front or the seam tape on the back.
- Regularly dry the product in a dryer on a low heat setting (maximum 60°C) to restore its water-repellent properties.
-Do not use fabric softener or bleach.
- When ironing, use low temperature without using steam.
- Do not dry clean.
- If products containing petrolatum, insect repellent, or ethanol (hair cream, cosmetics, sunscreen, insect repellent, etc.) come into contact with the fabric of Pertex Shield Pro, it may cause stains or reduce its breathability. * Waterproofing of seams
