-Top of head is denim or fleece material
All colors have denim brims with flannel undersides, and denim earflaps with flannel lining. The outer part of the crown is fleece for COI and PNNL, denim for UPSI, and flannel for GDNU.

- Keeps ears warm
The ear flaps can be raised to keep them in place or lowered to keep your ears warm depending on the temperature.

- Mid-crown hat with short brim
Mid-crown: Low profile brim protects your eyes from the sun without blocking your view
