The name was chosen to resemble the shape of a mountain that exists in Kagawa Prefecture, where the manufacturer, Makizuka Iron Works, is located.

When combined with the YASHIMA 500ml from the same series, it can also be used like a small Dutch oven.

The pan is seasoned when you purchase it, but this does not completely prevent rust. After use, drain and dry it thoroughly, and season it regularly to prevent rust and ensure long-term use.
