A warming, insulated jacket ideal for mid-winter adventures and everyday use. Its light, smooth, wind and water resistant functionality and clean, minimalist design make it perfect for both the mountains and the city.
The Double Dunfri was developed following the concept of Dunfri, the classic Houdini classic insulation and the Swedish word for 'down-free'. The use of synthetic insulation as an insulating material without any down or other animal material is not only due to its functional benefits, but also due to Houdini's belief that birds should not suffer for the sake of human comfort from an animal welfare perspective.
The PrimaLoft Black Insulation Rise used in the Double Dunfri's padding is a state-of-the-art technology insulation made from 100% recycled polyester. With 200 g/m2 overall and 170 g/m2 only under the arms and inside the sleeves, it has the same warmth to weight ratio as down, but is lightweight, water-resistant and has a great soft feel. The real value of this insulation is in adverse weather conditions, where it maintains 92% insulation and keeps the warmth almost intact, even when wet from snow or rain. The fabrics are made of the extremely durable Switch Woven from the shoulders to the outer sleeves, and lightweight, durable Spinner Ripstop for the other outer and inner fabrics, both made of 100% recycled polyester and treated with a water repellent finish that contains no harmful PFAS.
With its minimalist looks and cutting-edge performance, the Double Dunfri is a must-have for cold-weather adventures. Although designed for mountain activities, it works equally well in your everyday lifestyle. It can be worn for a variety of winter activities, including climbing belays, snowshoe hikes and daily commuting.
