Calling it a secondary item makes it sound like an unnecessary item, but the Karufuwa towel takes advantage of the characteristics of the material and can be used in a way that is unique to Ryo, making it an item that plays a supporting role.

"Easy to use"
It doesn't feel like it wipes away sweat like a cotton towel, but it's a towel that feels like it absorbs sweat before you know it.

"Mastering it"
When you're shinogging in cold weather, you can use it as a scarf or face mask that provides moderate warmth and excellent sweat absorption while you're moving, and when you're shinogging in warm weather, you can use it as a towel to wipe away the sweat that's flying off. When you're stagnant, you can wrap it over your base layer pants like a bath towel to quickly absorb the sweat around your waist, which is effective in preventing residual sweat and cold sweat. It's also good for wiping off night dew from your tarp.

Material features

Teijin Octa is an innovative polyester material that weighs half as much as polyester fibers of the same diameter, and the hollow space in the center of the fiber and the eight protrusions arranged radially on the surface not only quickly absorb and disperse sweat, but also traps a lot of dead air in the spaces created by its unique shape, providing a heat-insulating, warming effect.

〇 Experience
I sweat a lot. All year round, when I reach the hammock point after shinogai, my underwear is soaked with sweat. It's the same in winter. There's nothing worse than having to spend the night in soaking wet underwear in winter. I could just change my clothes, but I don't want to do that. So I always use a towel from a certain hot spring like a loincloth to absorb the sweat from my underwear.
