This hiking jacket is made of an omni-directional stretch softshell fabric that is stress-free in any movement. If you're hiking classic routes, reminiscing about the days when people travelled to and from mountain passes as a way of life, you'll be more at home in a classic jacket like this than in a softshell for alpine climbing. The collar can be turned up to keep out the wind and cold, it has parachute buttons to prevent fraying, and a flap pocket for storing a smartphone or hiking map. It also has a top and bottom opening zip on the side for effective ventilation.
