At a time when there was no stretchy material and luxury was not available, the cut of precious fabrics was made with a lean cut, yet still allowing easy movement, and was used for mountain work.
I thought that trousers packed with such ingenuity must be very easy to move in, so I made a pair of trousers for sinogging by arranging a pattern from a real cut dress.
The material is indeed nylon rather than cotton, but a twill weave material with a low sheen has been chosen to retain as much of the natural look as possible.
This is another item that is unique to Ling Ling, which incorporates traditional Japanese design.
