Thought and creation.
At the time of the sale of Karhuwa Tights, all other companies' items using octa were lined with octa.
These may be rather because they were designed for activities in colder and higher altitude environments than in Japan.
As a ryo, we had been looking at octa, which is lightweight and moderately insulating, but we had not intended to use it as a lining.
In the low mountains that are Ling's field, we felt that layering a single pair of octa tights with sometimes spring/summer and sometimes autumn/winter trousers was more flexible and by far the most versatile.
It can be used as active insulation in cold-weather sinogging to provide adequate warmth during action, in warmer weather as a crotch to outlast the night in overnight sinogging, or slipped into a gap in a backpack for all-year-round use.
Comfort.
Very lightweight and moderately warm and comfortable.
This "moderation" is exactly the same as the concept of surpassing, and the comfort of not overheating even on routes with endless ridge climbs and repeated ups and downs< is perfect for chinogging.
Dressing.
First, they should be worn directly on bare skin. Then, since Ling has pants with different degrees of breathability, you can choose the most suitable pants according to your constitution and the weather at the time, and enjoy wearing Karhuwa tights in various layers.
Depending on the climate, it is also a good idea to wander around the hammock in 'the crotch' style.
Features of the materials
The surface appearance is simply mesh, but the reverse side is covered with fine fluffy fibres, providing the necessary warmth while being lightweight.
Teijin Octa, a revolutionary polyester material, weighs only half as much as polyester fibres of the same diameter, and its central cavity and eight protrusions arranged in a radial pattern on the surface not only absorb and diffuse sweat quickly, but also contain a lot of dead air in the space created by its unique shape. This creates a heat-shielding and heat-retaining effect.
