The outer fabric, PERTEX QUATUM AIR, is a 20dn x 20dn mini ripstop nylon. Its greatest feature is its high breathability of 25.5cm3/cm2 (about 25 times that of a regular windbreaker), which allows it to effectively release water vapor from sweat. It also has excellent water repellency, so even if it does let sweat through, it won't get soaked. Another feature is that it has a very soft texture, so it produces almost no noise.

- The Toray AIRFINE lining is brushed on one side to provide the minimum level of heat retention to prevent overheating, and the irregular cross-section fibers with four protrusions quickly absorb and diffuse sweat.
