I've seen some pants in the past that had gaiter functionality at the cuffs, but they were always half-baked and never looked very practical.
I was convinced that by applying the design of the Kunai, a soft shell gaiter used to get through difficult conditions, I could create pants with gaiter functionality that would actually work.
However, since fixing the hem in place using gaiters would cause the knee to be in tension when lifting the leg, we thought of various ways to remedy this, but we solved it with a bold design of full-length pants, and ultimately created a pair of pants with a unique silhouette that could not be found anywhere else.
It's not a case of "form follows function," but these pants are the result of embodying what is needed.
