Kubimaki is an item designed to warm the neck area to beat the cold and wipe away sweat, but it is also essential for adding an accent to Ryo's outfits.
The patterns are based on objects related to sinogging and were carefully hand-printed by craftsmen.
With the cooperation of PRIRET, a manufacturer of mountain stoles, these were made by craftspeople in and around Kiryu City, Gunma Prefecture, which has long flourished as a silk weaving centre and was described in the Jomo Karuta as 'Kiryu is the weaving centre of Japan'.

Neck wraps for sinogging
