This knit is made from wool sourced from sheep living on the Shetland Islands, located north of Scotland.
British wool grows in the cold and harsh winter natural environment, giving it elasticity and durability, but Shetland wool is characterized by being softer and having a glossy sheen among British wools due to its breeding environment, such as feeding on seaweed as a supplementary diet.
It is finished with a chunky texture using 5-gauge knitting.
