Cushioning, natural support and lightweight paradigms have been favoured by ultrarunners and long-distance walkers for their high cushioning and simultaneously very high stability.
However, the only weakness of this model was that it was slightly heavier than other models.
However, we have now succeeded in reducing the weight to less than 300 g in the US 10.5 (28.5 cm) size.

A key feature of the Paradigm is the GuideRail function, which only compensates for excessive inward falls.
A slight collapse is a natural movement and is not forcibly compensated for.
However, excessive collapses can pose a risk of injury, which the GuideRail function compensates for.
This feature helps to maintain stability for those who have a habit of falling inwards or in the second half of a long distance run.

Another feature of the Paradigm is its firm cushioning with a stack height of 30 mm.
The updated ALTRA EGO MAX offers excellent cushioning in addition to resilience.
It provides a pleasant resilience with little sinking.
In addition, the upper has improved breathability and the newly adopted lacing system (Ghillie Racing) provides a secure midfoot fit.
