We believe that zero-drop (balance cushioning) is the best choice to reduce the risk of running injuries. However, some runners who have never worn ALTRA's Zero Drop shoes say that they seem difficult to run in. In response to these comments, ALTRA has developed the low-drop (4 mm drop) EXPERIENCE Collection. (Formerly ALTRA FWD EXPERIENCE)

Founder Brian says: "We have been building prototypes of insoles and shoes with drop differences since our inception. We knew that many runners were used to shoes with drop differences and needed time to make the transition to zero drop". After years of research and development, ALTRA has finally perfected a drop shoe that satisfies. This is the EXPERIENCE Collection.

ALTRA has unique features such as foot shape (designed to fit the shape of the foot) and flexibility (flexibility to follow the movement of the foot) as well as zero drop. The EXPERIENCE Collection is designed with these features in a low-drop design, offering a new experience for runners who have never worn ALTRA before. We aim that these shoes will be the first step towards a lifetime of running enjoyment without injury we hope.

The EXPERIENCE FLOW (formerly ALTRA FWD EXPERIENCE) has a low 4 mm drop for smooth, quick steps, a new compression-moulded midsole foam for excellent rebound, a foot-shaped foot shape and light weight for efficient and comfortable wear. Increased breathability of the upper compared to the ALTRA FWD EXPERIENCE.

We believe that ALTRA shoes with a drop differential are the ideal choice for runners to make a smooth transition (transition) to zero drop - experience ALTRA and discover new possibilities in running.
