The Escalante Racer uses a 22mm stack height, which is rarely seen these days, but it completely changes the quality of your run. First of all, you can clearly feel where your foot is landing. Landing with the entire sole of your foot, directly under your center of gravity, changes the sound of your footsteps. Energy is firmly transmitted to the ground, and you can feel the reaction propelling you forward. These shoes encourage a natural form and help you rediscover the joy of running.

The biggest feature of the Escalante Racer is ALTRA's unique midsole "EGO" with excellent resilience. When compressed, it creates even more resilience. The upper has a large mesh structure that is breathable enough that you can see through your socks, and is designed to prevent stuffiness.

In this update, we have strengthened the lateral flexibility to further enhance the sense of unity with the foot.
