Appalachian Gear Company Men's 8020 AG Tee

■Quote from manufacturer's description
Take your adventures to the next level with the ultra-lightweight 8020AG-Tee from Appalachian Gear Company.
Why "AG"? Because we designed it from scratch.

Made from a super soft, ultra-lightweight 8020 blend with the breathability and warmth of alpaca, it's perfect for any climate.
It fits in the corner of your bag.

Appalachian Gear Company's lightweight 8020 fabric utilizes a unique and precise blend of 80% Royal Alpaca fiber and 20% Tencel.
It's a high-performance, sustainable blend that's comfortable, extremely breathable and quick-drying.
Perfect for outdoor activities. Experience softness and comfort in any weather.

This t-shirt is a truly sustainable option for anyone looking for a durable, lightweight, quick-drying, and comfortable shirt that can be worn for most activities.
Spend less time worrying about what you're wearing and more time enjoying the outdoors.

Sized for a regular fit, you can size down if you want a more athletic fit.
-Alpaca is a natural fiber with variable properties so the weight may vary from lot to lot.
Men's 8020 AG-Tee shirts range in weight from 5 to 7 ounces depending on size.
-Because this is a highly elastic fabric, there may be some slight errors depending on how the fabric is placed and measured.

○8020 AG-Tee Performance Blend: 80% Alpaca / 20% Tencel

Regular fit style
Not too snug, not too loose, they look great and allow full range of motion.
Natural fibers perform at their optimum level when you give them a little room to breathe.
Appalachian Gear Company t-shirts are not styled for a tight or "tech" fit.

○Trail Seam
The unique 8020 AG-Tee features seams worthy of adventure.
Appalachian Gear Company's Trail Seams are engineered for incredible toughness and durability, ensuring your gear will perform reliably even under extreme stress and prolonged use.
Appalachian Gear Company hoodies and shirts have traveled thousands of miles and rubbed under backpack straps millions of times.
And Appalachian Gear Company's Trail Seam consistently meets those stringent demands.

○Weft knit
The 8020 AG-Tee is woven into a proprietary fabric that provides superior performance.
Appalachian Gear Company's special knit construction is resistant to "runs," so if you develop a hole while out in the backcountry, it's possible that the hole will get slightly larger over time, but you won't have to worry about the hole getting longer and "running" as experienced with many lightweight knits.

Lightweight: This is a shirt you won't hesitate to throw in your pack.
Long tail: Provides coverage and freedom of movement.

■Maintenance
- You don't need to wash this garment frequently. Just hang it up even if you are active and sweat.
Alpaca doesn't support bacterial growth, so it won't get funky like synthetic fibers can.
Because it is an animal fiber, it is susceptible to insect damage and, like wool, needs to be stored in a way that keeps it away from insects.
However, washing the shirt will not damage it.

-Turn the 8020 AG-Tee inside out (this is important).

- Use a small load, cold water, light or gentle cycle and wash with other high performance materials.
We recommend not washing with large loads or heavy fabrics such as jeans/towels.

・Use regular detergent. Do not use "washing soda", chlorine bleach, peroxide bleach, or "oxygen detergent".

- After the first 3-5 washes, hang or lay flat to air dry.
Alpaca doesn't have much moisture left after the spin cycle and dries quickly.

After the first 3-5 washes, you can tumble dry the shirt, but tumble dry with other similar items on a gentle cycle with a small load.
It only takes about 10-12 minutes to dry. Medium to high is not recommended.

-You will notice a slight shrinkage in length after 3-5 washes, but this is allowed for in the pattern.
The fabric also exhibits a very fine "pile" which improves the comfort and performance of the garment.

○ If you are backpacking or traveling and need to wash this garment for some reason and regular detergent is not available
Backpacking: Rinse in river water and air dry, do not use detergents and follow the leave no trace principle.
- Travel, hotels, hostels, etc.: Use shampoo and mild liquid dish/hand detergent (1-2 drops), rinse in the sink, wring out, and line dry or lay on a towel to dry.
