The ASU-08L is a model featuring a 60 size with a diameter of 105 cm. Although its total length when packed has increased from 61 cm to 72 cm, it is designed to provide full coverage while still being easy to carry.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e○ Frame design that prioritizes strength over lightness\u003cbr\u003eAs the size increases, so does the load on the frame when exposed to wind. With the ASU-08L, we prioritized strength over lightness and developed the frame by sparing no expense on material weight, even while using carbon—a lightweight material. We conducted repeated prototyping, experimenting with combinations of shaft diameter and carbon thickness, as well as various cross-sectional diameters for the main ribs and support ribs, until we achieved satisfactory strength. While there are products on the market with comparable weights, this umbrella stands out as a high-strength model with the smallest proportion of the total weight accounted for by the fabric and the largest proportion accounted for by the frame.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e○ “White”: Designed for Maximum Light Blocking\u003cbr\u003eWhile most trekking umbrellas on the market use a silver coating on the fabric surface, this method tends to result in a thicker coating—and thus increased weight—as the level of light blockage is increased. The AU-08 and ASU-08 models feature a black coating on the reverse side of the fabric that provides complete light blockage, blocking 100% of UV rays and heat while maintaining a lightweight design. The ASU-08L also continues to use this fabric with the complete light-blocking coating.
