These paper lanterns are still used today at traditional inns, high-end restaurants, and shrines.
While there are many types of lanterns that became popular during the Edo period, this lantern-style shade is extremely lightweight and takes up almost no packing space—simply insert an LED light or headlamp to use it as either a hanging lantern or a table lantern.
When you turn on the light on the Shinogichabudai we already have in stock, a diagonal lattice pattern and the character "Ryō" appear, and enjoying dinner bathed in this soft glow makes you feel as if you were in a small mountain-side restaurant.
Hang it from a tarp and open the pouch at the bottom, and the soft, round glow will illuminate the fallen leaves, bringing a sense of tranquility to the thatched space.
Simplicity is an art form—I highly recommend using a warm-white light source for this.
Tying the drawstring keeps out insects drawn to the light, and when not in use as a lantern, it can also serve as a stuff sack.
Incidentally, the lighting on the platform at Takaosanguchi Station—a familiar sight in Tokyo’s Ryō Field—also features a lantern design.

Cancellation of orders

As a rule, cancellations after the dispatch completion email has been sent are not accepted.

The number of purchases may be limited for some products. Orders from multiple accounts that appear to be from the same person, or orders that appear to be using a BOT, may be cancelled or reduced in quantity.

Returns and exchanges

However, in the unlikely event that the product is damaged or defaced, or if you receive an item that is different from your order, please contact us within 7 days of the delivery date. We will take action at our expense.

If a replacement can be secured, the product will be replaced.
If a replacement cannot be secured, a refund will be made.

Returns and exchanges will not be accepted if any of the following conditions apply. Please note in advance

If more than 8 days have elapsed since the arrival of the goods
When the customer is deemed to have used the product by our company.
If the product has been repaired, washed or cleaned.
Loss or damage to accessories (product tag, warranty card, bag, box, etc.)
If smells, scratches or stains occur under the customer's care.
Products that come into contact with the skin, such as underwear, socks and accessories, perfumes and cosmetics.
If you return the goods without informing us in advance.
